The parcels layer is a topologically clean polygon layer that covers the entire County of Nevada. The geometry was created in the 1990s from paper maps, then rubber sheeted to construct a seamless parcel layer. The geometry of the parcels is often severely distorted. True curves are not represented, and missing or extra courses are not uncommon. The parcel data IS NOT intended to be used to find property boundaries, in overlays with aerial photos or street centerline. The parcel layer is the base for all political and service districts, so it IS appropriate to overlay these layers.<\/div>" }
